Choose Your Project Track!

At Garuda Hacks 2.0, we strive to solve Indonesia's most pressing issues.
This year, Garuda Hacks 2.0 will focus on tackling:

Small Businesses

Entrepreneurialism is at the heart of Indonesian society. 97% of the Indonesian workforce work in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), making them the key engine to economic growth. Starting a business is never easy, but there is so much promise for tech to help mom and pop shops.

How do we:

  • Simplify certain processes for businessowners so that they can focus on running their business?
  • Reduce costs and improve profit margins
  • Open new markets for businessowners
  • Better improve customer and businessowner interaction

Sustainability

In today's world it is evident that the climate crisis is affecting our planet. Indonesia—with its rich oceans and lush forests—is at the forefront of this struggle. Yet, the journey to save our communities shouldn’t be a lonely walk, but a unified effort that empowers our own communities to take action.

How do we:

  • Educate people about sustainability and best practices
  • Create grassroots initiatives to keep our natural resources clean
  • Implement technology to detect real-time changes to our environment
  • Create businesses that not only make money, but look after the environment

Opportunity

With rapid economic growth, some stand to benefit more than others. We believe that regardless of where you come from, you shouldn’t be constrained in finding opportunities. Now with tech, the playing field in mitigating inequality has changed.

How do we:

  • Provide programs that equip people hoping to enter the workforce with transferrable skills
  • Create accessibility and inclusivity for people in education, jobs, or finding a living space
  • Leverage Indonesian connectivity and infrastructure to connect people to opportunities
  • Increase our economic prosperity through technology

No hackathon event is complete without the prizes to recognize your hard work!
